Details Of This Series:
Embark on a journey to cultivate the garden of your dreams with the Country Goods USA Garden Series. This comprehensive 4-part series is designed to empower you with the knowledge and skills needed for a bountiful and rewarding growing season. With each class building upon the last, you’ll be armed with a toolkit for a productive garden. As you implement the practical steps learned in each session, you will see your own garden transform into abundance. The Country Goods USA Garden Series is not just a learning experience; it is your passport to a garden that reflects your dedication and yields the tangible rewards of your newfound expertise.

This class will be offered in two formats, hands-on learning and virtual.

Hands-On Learning will take place on our farm is Star. This option will also include 8 vegetable plants of your choice from the Country Goods USA greenhouse. Class participants will also have access to virtual learning modules. Each class will include take-home worksheets and you will have a forum to ask questions throughout the series.
Virtual Learning will take place in the comforts of your own home. You will have access to videos each month that will teach you the steps to implement in your garden each month. You will also have downloaded worksheets with to-do items and a forum to ask questions throughout the series.


Event Timelines

1
Class #1: Bed Preparation, Seed Starting & Garden Planning

This class will be held in April. You will be able to choose your class day which is either Friday April 26th or Saturday April 27th. In this class, we will dive into the details about how to prepare your garden to start planting. Topics will include understanding soil amendments, bed preparation, seed starting, and planning your garden. You will get access to our favorite garden planner and seed suppliers. For our hands-on learners, you will also choose your plants during this class. This class will be hands-on in the Country Goods USA garden. We will also be offering a virtual class option.

Class #2: Planting – Plant Spacing, Companion Planting

This class will be held in May. You will be able to choose your class day which is either Wednesday May 8th or Saturday May 11th. In this class, we will learn about what is ready to plant, how to properly space plants to get great crop production and which plants play well together. We will also learn about companion flower planting. This class will be hands-on in the Country Goods USA garden. We will also be offering a virtual class option.

Class #3: Plant Health, Early Pruning, Early Fertilizing

This class will be held in June. You will be able to choose your class day which is either Wednesday June 5th or Saturday June 1st. In this class, we will learn how to apply early fertilizers and which fertilizers are the best at this growing stage. We will also discuss plant health and early pruning for specific plant to get the most out of your plant production. This class will be hands-on in the Country Goods USA garden. We will also be offering a virtual class option.

Class #4: Late pruning, Stage 2 fertilizing, Succession Planting, Harvest Planning

This class will be held in July. You will be able to choose your class day which is either Wednesday July 10th or Saturday July 13th. In this class, we will learn how to apply early fertilizers and which fertilizers are the best at this growing stage. We will also discuss plant health and early pruning for specific plant to get the most out of your plant production. This class will be hands-on in the Country Goods USA garden. We will also be offering a virtual class option.
