A Successful Set Of Twins

Bebe is our Nigerian Drawf doe graced our farm when she was 6 months old in 2018 and we knew when she arrived that we wanted to breed her. In early 2020 we came across the most beautiful, blue eyed buck named Chief and we knew that this would be a match made in heaven.

We thought that Bebe was looking pretty big in the later part of her pregnancy, however you just never really know how many kids are in there. She went into labor a week past her due date, but we were keeping a close eye on her each day and when the time came, we were ready.

Bebe delivered her kids like a pro. We did not have one single problem during delivery. We also we not surprised after our Black & White kid showed up that Bebe’s labor was not done. About 30 minutes after the first kid was delivered, out came the second. These two were the cutest pair of blue-eyed goats we have ever seen.

Properly named the “Wise-Guys” they were the first of our kids to be delivered for the season and got the entire pasture to explore. They were tiny, playful and super fun bouncing around the mound. While these guys will not make our farm their forever home, we will always love them and remember the fun we got to have with them.

Update: The Wise Guys found their forever home in Homedale, ID. They went to a loving family as pets and will live their lives as very efficient weed eaters.
