Dive into the world of pressure canning with in this lively class! We’re here to unravel the secrets of preserving low-acid foods—think hearty vegetables, savory meats, fish, and poultry. As well as soups and stews, making it a game-changer for your pantry.

During this info-packed session we will demystify pressure canning, covering everything from safety measures to essential equipment. Then we will go into the kitchen for the hands-on portion of our pressure canning class that will teach you the ropes of using the equipment.

THIS CLASS REQUIRES BASIC CANNING KNOWLEDGE. If you have not previously canned, we recommend one of our water bath canning courses such as Canning 101.

Class Includes: We provide all materials. Due to the nature of this canning method as well as the heat required to preserve, students will not leave with any canned goods.

Frequently asked questions

Will I take home anything?

In many classes our students will take home a jar of what they canned. This class is different. The product being canned is low acid, so our license does not allow us to distrubute these products. Also, the product will come out of the pressure canner over 200 degrees. So, you will not leave with product. You will leave with the confident knowledge on how to pressure can.

What if I cannot make the class?

Our classes are small and each class will fill up. If you cannot make it to the class and you are outside of our cancellation period then your ticket will be forfieted. You can transfer your ticket to someone else prior to the class start.   Our classes are small and each class will fill up. What if I am running late?

Gates open for class 15 minutes prior to the start time. Gates will close 10 minutes after start time. If you do not show on time and do not contact us to make arrangements for late arrival then you will not be able to attend the class. Once the gates are closed and class begins there will be no way that we will be able to leave the class and open the gates.

What is the cancellation policy?

Tickets can be cancelled for a full refund 7 days prior to the start date of the class. After this period ticket purchases are final. If you need to cancel your ticket, please send us an email to orders@countrygoodsusa.com.
