join us for this class and learn the basic application of water-bath canning. We will cover canning equipment and safety, then we will learn the art of creating the perfect jam.
The first portion of this class will discuss canning equipment, the difference between water bath canning versus pressure canning and food preservation safety. The we will head to the kitchen to learn how to make and preserve jam using the water bath canning method. As a bonus, we will also make a no-knead rustic bread and at the end of class we will sample the jams we made on a fresh slice of homemade baked bread.

Class Includes: All materials needed to make one jar of jam for each student.

The ingredients for the jam class are chosen ahead of time and the recipes will correlate with the ingredients. For this reason you will not be able to choose what is getting made during the class.
Our classes are small and each class will fill up. If you cannot make it to the class and you are outside of our cancellation period then your ticket will be forfieted. Gates open for class 15 minutes prior to the start time. Gates will close 10 minutes after start time. If you do not show on time and do not contact us to make arrangements for late arrival then you will not be able to attend the class. Once the gates are closed and class begins there will be no way that we will be able to leave the class and open the gates.
Tickets can be cancelled for a full refund 5 days prior to the start date of the class. After this period ticket purchases are final.
